The NVMe Gen 5 Controller IP implements NVMe 2.0 over a PCIe Gen 5 x4 host interface, unlocking 16 GB/s sequential read bandwidth and 2M random 4K IOPS. Designed for enterprise U.2 / E1.S / EDSFF form-factor SSDs and AIC cards, it handles the complete NVMe command layer including submission queue management, completion queue DMA, PRPs, SGLs, and namespace management.

Support for Zoned Namespace (ZNS), Key-Value (KV), and Computational Storage (CSx) command sets — all defined in NVMe 2.0 — enables emerging storage architectures that reduce write amplification and improve QoS in cloud-native deployments.
