The Xtremesilica H.265/HEVC Codec IP core delivers real-time encoding and decoding at 4K@60fps and 8K@30fps, achieving up to 50% better compression efficiency than H.264 at equivalent visual quality.

Supporting Main and Main 10 profiles up to Level 5.1, the codec integrates cleanly into ARM Cortex and RISC-V SoC subsystems via AXI4-Stream. Intelligent rate control (CBR/VBR/CQP), hardware-accelerated motion estimation, and ultra-low latency mode (<50ms) make it ideal for streaming, broadcast, surveillance, and automotive camera applications.
